The solid hardwood construction of the HomeStyles 30-Inch Maxwell Swivel Bar Stool makes it durable enough for use in any room of the house. The black padded vinyl seat is comfortable and stylish, and offers a 360 degree swivel on durable ball bearings. The wooden frame of this stool is available in a black finish with a brushed steel foot rail. All selections are subject to manufacturer availablility.

Reasonably priced real wood stools. They look very nice however, they can be a bit frustrating to assemble. Luckily my 7 year old daughter handled the bolts that attached the seat cushion to the stool top. Her small fingers helped. Attaching the legs was tricky on about 3 of the legs. I bought 4 of these stools. The problem was that I couldn't engage the bolt threads into the recessed bolt receiver in the legs. I was able to adjust the depth of the bolt receiver with a larger allen (Hex) wrench from my bike tools. However, one other bolt receiver isn't centered well. You will have problems with the brass foot ring too. Things don't line up quite that well. Make sure you keep the bolts loose so you can get all 4 bolts in. Finally, as another said, I think some of the holes in the brass ring may be slightly undersized. So about 2 hours for 4 stools and not quite done. The feet are a bit close and not super stable but adequate. Overall, I got exactly what I expected.

    A terrific product. The finish is furniture quality and the wood is very hard. The first stool took about 50 minutes to assemble but once I realized that everything should be loosely connected first, then tightened, all was well. A final tip...run a screw into the brass ring holes before you try to connect everything to clean the threads. the last stool took 34 minutes to be assembled. A good buy.

    These are quality looking, sturdy bar stools. After seeing other reviews that they were sometimes hard to assemble, we took our chances. The first of two went together easily. The second one was much more difficult since some of the holes apparently weren't perfectly drilled. We used some force and did finally get the second stool assembled without having to order other parts. In the end, i recommend these bar stools if you have some patience!

    I needed something stylish and usable in a fairly narrow space. They look very nice and swivel smoothly. I wouldn't use these for high-traffic area nor for use by XL size individuals, but they are not flimsy either.
