this chair is very attractive to a modern design.I also love the height adjustment option. However, it ia very unsteady and 2 out of the 5 chairs had missing pieces (the lever to adjust the height and the base ring to hide where the pole connects). I had to reorder 2 chairs and wait to be reimbursed for the other 2. I was annoyed since it was the companies fault! I would return if it wasn't a hassle.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
